Standards That Define Our Operations
At ADELE SHIPMANAGEMENT INC., we operate under clear internal policies designed to promote safety, compliance, employee wellbeing, cybersecurity, environmental responsibility, and ethical conduct across all fleet and shore-based activities.

ADELE SHIPMANAGEMENT INC. is committed to maintaining a professional workplace founded on dignity, equality, and mutual respect, free from harassment, discrimination, bullying, or any inappropriate conduct. We uphold zero tolerance toward behaviour based on race, nationality, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, or any other protected characteristic, whether occurring onboard vessels, ashore, during business travel, training, meetings, or company-sponsored events. All employees, managers, contractors, and applicants are expected to contribute to a safe and inclusive environment where concerns can be raised without fear of retaliation. Any reported incident is handled promptly, confidentially, and fairly, with appropriate corrective or disciplinary action taken where necessary, reinforcing our commitment to ethical conduct and respect across all operations.

ADELE SHIPMANAGEMENT INC. is committed to protecting its vessels, offices, personnel, systems, and critical data through a robust Cyber Safety & Security Policy aligned with modern maritime and regulatory standards. We actively assess cyber risks, identify threats and vulnerabilities, and implement safeguards to preserve the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information across all operational locations. Our approach includes secure system access, data backup, password protection, encryption, incident response planning, malware prevention, and continuous employee awareness training. All suspected or actual cyber incidents are promptly reported and investigated, while management regularly reviews controls, responsibilities, and contingency measures to ensure resilience, business continuity, and the safe operation of our global maritime activities.

ADELE SHIPMANAGEMENT INC. maintains a strict zero-tolerance Drug & Alcohol Policy to safeguard the safety of life at sea, vessel operations, and crew wellbeing. The possession, use, trafficking, or sale of illegal drugs, alcohol, or any substance that may impair judgment, alertness, or performance is strictly prohibited onboard all managed vessels and within company operations. Masters are responsible for ensuring that no officer or crew member assumes duty under the influence of alcohol or drugs, supported by routine, random, and unannounced testing conducted both onboard and through authorized external laboratories. Any unusual behaviour, safety incident, or suspected breach is investigated immediately. Violations of this policy result in serious disciplinary action, including dismissal and reporting to the relevant authorities, reinforcing our commitment to safe, responsible, and professional maritime operations.

ADELE SHIPMANAGEMENT INC. is committed to conducting all ship management activities in a responsible and environmentally sustainable manner, recognizing the impact maritime operations may have on the global and local environment. Through our Safety Management System and Environmental Management System, we pursue continual improvement in emissions control, energy efficiency, waste reduction, pollution prevention, and responsible resource use across all managed vessels and shore operations. We comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards while promoting awareness, training, and accountability at every level of the organization. Our management team regularly reviews environmental objectives, risks, and performance to ensure effective action plans are implemented, with the clear long-term goal of achieving zero incidents, zero spills, and sustainable operational excellence.

ADELE SHIPMANAGEMENT INC. empowers every employee and crewmember, regardless of rank or position, with the full authority and obligation to stop any task, operation, or behaviour they believe may be unsafe. Our Stop Work Authority Policy is founded on the principle that no job is so urgent that it cannot be performed safely. If an unsafe condition or act has the potential to cause injury, fire, pollution, equipment damage, or operational disruption, personnel are expected to intervene immediately, halt the activity, and report the matter to the responsible officer or Master. Management fully supports all good-faith safety interventions, reinforcing a culture where prevention, accountability, and the protection of people, vessels, cargo, and the environment always come first.
ADELE SHIPMANAGEMENT INC. is committed to protecting the health, safety, and wellbeing of all personnel by maintaining a responsible and controlled approach to smoking onboard its vessels and within company premises. Recognizing the risks associated with environmental tobacco smoke and passive smoking, the Company limits smoking to clearly designated and properly ventilated areas during off-duty hours, while strictly prohibiting smoking in food preparation areas, storerooms, operational spaces, and any location where safety may be compromised. Clear signage, appropriate disposal facilities, and preventive controls are maintained to reduce fire hazards and protect non-smokers. We also promote awareness of the harmful effects of tobacco use and encourage crew members who wish to stop smoking by supporting healthier lifestyle choices.
